The work is part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s I-75 interchange project at Royal Palm Boulevard. The project runs from Griffin Road to SW 14th Street in Southwest Ranches, Davie and Weston. FDOT is adding an I-75 lane, widening the ramps at Royal Palm Boulevard and Griffin Road and widening the bridge over the C-11 Canal. FDOT’s project page lists a spring 2028 finish.
What it means for you
- If you drive south on I-75 toward Weston late on Nov. 5, plan to leave at Griffin Road instead. Allow a few extra minutes for the trip north on Weston Road.
- If the work slips, the same closure could fall on any night from Nov. 9 to Nov. 12. Check FL511 or dial 511 before a late trip that week.
