Most of what Weston’s city government puts on is free, the city says, and so are its 14 parks. The Arts Council of Greater Weston’s festivals and the Weston Branch Library’s programs are free too.

- Parks: 14 city parks, from Weston Regional Park, 20200 Saddle Club Road, open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., to the lakeside Town Center Park amphitheater. See parks and trails.
- Skate park: Tequesta Trace Park, 600 Indian Trace, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting.
- Fishing: the dock at Peace Mound Park, 1300 Three Village Road, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Weston Branch Library, 4205 Bonaventure Blvd., runs free programs most weeks: story time for ages 1 to 5 on Thursdays, Saturday chess, Lego and beading clubs, a book club and English and Spanish conversation cafes.
