Fireworks at home
Florida law, section 791.08 of the Florida Statutes, allows fireworks on three designated holidays: New Year’s Day, Independence Day (July 4) and New Year’s Eve. That does not cover July 3. The statute says a homeowners association board may not adopt rules taking away that right, but a properly recorded deed covenant that bans fireworks still applies.
What this means for you
- The fireworks are July 3, not July 4.
- Coming to the parade? Plan around the Indian Trace and Three Village Road closures.
- Watch the city’s special events page for the 2027 date.
